Peace and blessings, hello to all my followers and subscribers. Thanks for hanging around all this time, I’ve been quiet for a year+ and I’ve missed writing on here for some time. Where I’ve been?… a road of reflection and rebuilding after a number of family issues including the passing away of a beloved family member. I lost weight (75kg and being 6’3) which wasn’t a good look for me, relationships to repair and hearts broken, it’s been a tough time.
With things clearing up like the clouds over London at the moment things look soo much brighter and so I’m feeling ready to move forward. Moving isn’t always a given, so being grateful for that ability is a must and so I intend to stay and be more active than I ever have in a physical capacity. But how can one start that intention off except with a helpful boost from Coffee, right!?
The methods of brewing coffee are numerous when it comes to home brewed coffee, the options are open. It all depends on the beans, the roast, the grinding, the time brewing and the time you have to enjoy that fresh coffee. I love a Black Coffee which has a sharpness to it when you leave it to go cold, still great as a pre-workout (some would say even better).
Coffee brewed like this, not the freezed dried instant coffee, has amazing health qualities such as lowering the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, enhanced sexual performance, promoting weigth-loss, good brain health and being the perfect wake-up boost before a workout.
The steps to brew coffee with a Hario v60 are:
– Set-up v60 with filter
– Mug under filter
– Boil one cut/mug of water in the kettle
– Pour water over filter to settle it into place if needed
– Add freshly ground coffee to rest in filter
– Pour water
– Let sit for 1-minute
Coffee needs to be drunk in moderation to avoid it’s possible side effects, consult your GP if you have issues with Coffee before drinking.
If you’re in for a training session today and coffee is on the menu tell me what type of coffee do you intend to drink? Follow my inteded training journey by signing up to our email list for exclusive content, link below.
